Arsenal Beat Newcastle 1-0, Secures Next Season’s UCL Spot, Newcastle’s Hope Remains in Limbo

Arsenal has beaten Newcastle United for the first time this season after three failed attempts. Mikel Arteta’s team was very ready for the challenge because they knew very well that, a win in this game, would cement a place in next season’s Champions League spot.

The first half was very tough and Newcastle United seemed like was going to carry the day again. David Raya stood very firm and he made some very controversial saves that kept Arsenal in the game.

The second half started on a bad note for Arsenal because William Saliba was substituted and his place was taken by Riccardo Calafiori just at the start of the second half.

The Arsenal players however began the game on a very high note and Arsenal increased their momentum for the game and showed the hunger and craving for a goal and a win in that game.

Martin Odegaard gave Declan Rice a very good pass and the English international player scored a very spectacular goal that later on stood as the only goal in the game.

Mikel Arteta made some changes in his team, he substituted Bukayo Saka and replaced him with Kai Havertz, Leandro Trossard with Kieran Tierney and Martin Odegaard with Jorginho.

Eddie Howe also made some changes in his squad in order to change the game. He substituted Jacob Murphy and replaced him with Lewis Miley, Callum Wilson with William Osula Sven Botman with Emil Krafth and Harvey Barnes with Joe Willock.

The game ended 1-0 in favor of Arsenal and this now means that, Arsenal has secured a place in next season’s Champions League as Newcastle United’s hopes of playing in the Champions League remains in limbo.
