Arsenal Finally Issues Club Statement on Arteta’s Post-Match Comments on Referees and VAR

Arsenal football club has finally released an official club statement in regards to the incident that happened in Arsenal’s game against Newcastle United at the St. James’ Park. This is after the club lost the game 1-0 after Newcastle United scored a very controversial goal.

Mikel Arteta was also very furious and he expressed his emotions by saying how what happened is a disgrace and something which is unacceptable in the League that is highly regarded and considered as the best in the world.

The Statement of the Club read that Arsenal supports the post-match comments made by Manager Mikel Arteta after another unacceptable refereeing and VAR errors in the club’s game against Newcastle United.

The club also acknowledged the huge effort and performance from the players and also the fans who travelled to support the club in their away match. The statement also read that the PGMOL should address the standard of officiating and focus on actions which moves everybody from retrospective analysis, attempted explanations and apologies.

The statement also read that the club supports the ongoing efforts of Howard Webb who is the Chief Refereeing Officer and the club will welcome working together to achieve the world class officiating standards that the League requires.

Mikel Arteta’s actions are understandable because he has really managed to put a lot of effort in the Arsenal squad. He has also managed to bring back the old good days by helping and guiding the club to finish second in the Premier League and also get back to the UEFA Champions League.
