Surprisingly the rival fans who were mocking Arsenal are from teams that Arsenal beat and collected maximum points from. They are fans from the teams that did not even finish anywhere close to Arsenal. It is indeed irony of the highest order.
Arsenal were vindicated after the Premier League revealed the statistics of how tight the Premier League race and the team that bottled the League.
According to the Statistics, Liverpool spent 87 days on top of the Premier League table, Manchester City 78 days, Arsenal 76 days, Tottenham Hotspurs 26 days, Brighton 7 days, Newcastle United 7 days and West Ham United 2 days.
According to these statistics, it is Liverpool who bottled the Premier League but all the rival fans are blaming Arsenal because they are irritated with the project that Mikel Arteta is currently undertaking at the club.
The rival fans thought that Mikel Arteta would not transform Arsenal and fail just the same way their former players failed to transform their clubs when they were given the opportunity. They thought that Arsenal was going to finish 7th or even 8th and miss out of Europe.
The hate for Arsenal made the rival fans to overlook Liverpool as the Premier League bottlers but instead trailed their guns on Arsenal which gave Manchester City a run for their money by taking the battle for the premier League title to the last day of the Premier League campaign.
The insults that Arsenal has received may work in their favor next season and the club may even win the Premier League title after coming so close to it twice consecutively.
