Arsenal fans have received a major blow after their top target for the January transfer Window was again hijacked by Chelsea just like Joao Felix’s loan deal. Mikel Arteta has been a long time admirer of Mykhailo Mudryk of Shakhtar Donetsk.
It has finally emerged that Chelsea have hijacked Arsenal’s deal and they have met the asking price of Shakhtar Donetsk. The player will fly to London for the Medicals as Chelsea are now pushing for the player’s side since he had made it clear that he wanted to play for Arsenal.
Chelsea want a long term deal for Mykhailo Mudryk who is a very good winger. This is indeed bad news to the Gunners because he could have been a very great asset in the chase for the Premier League title.
He could have added a lot in the squad depth and this could have given Mikel Arteta more options in the wings. This now means that the club has to find another player who is on form in order to help the club in fighting for the Premier League title.
Mykhailo Mudryk is also a very young player and he could have really bonded well with the young squad at Arsenal. He could have also been easily integrated into Mikel Arteta’s philosophy and style of play.
This is a huge blow but the Arsenal fans have to just accept it and move on. The club should now hurry up and make some meaningful January signings because there is lack of squad depth in the team.
