Gareth Southgate and his England national team received a huge blow on Sunday evening after Bukayo Saka was taken off the pitch in Arsenal’s game against Nottingham Forest. He received a couple of knocks in the game and this led to his injury. The player was also very brilliant in the few minutes that he played. He is the one who gave Gabriel Martinelli the pass that led to the Gunners first goal.
He was then replaced by Reiss Nelson. This is indeed not only a blow to Arsenal but also the entire England National team. Bukayo Saka has been very brilliant for both club and country. He was actually the best player for England last year and he was so much guaranteed a place in the England squad.
Bukayo Saka is a versatile player who can play as a left back and also play in the wings. He is a utility player who has much more to offer as compared to his age. Aside from that, he is still a young player who is also viewed as a future superstar for England.

This is also a blow to England because Gareth Southgate was going to give Bukayo Saka a taste of his first World Cup as a player. The Manager will now have to look for other players who are on form and can perform like Bukayo Saka.
Meanwhile we are still waiting for his situation to be assessed. Let us hope that the injury was not a serious one and he will recover from it and continue dispensing his duties to both club and country.
