Double Tragedy as Ambassador Daniel Koikai, Njambi Koikai’s Father, Dies on the Burial Day of Daughter Njambi Koikai

Reports reaching our desk are shocking ones as it has been revealed that Ambassador Daniel Koikai who is the father to the late reggae enthusiast, Njambi Koikai has passed away. The shocking part is that he passed on the same day that Njambi Koikai was being laid to rest at the Langata Cemetery in Nairobi.

Ambassador Daniel Koikai yesterday made a worrying speech during the memorial service of his daughter Njambi Koikai. He asked for forgiveness for failing her daughter and being absent in her life when she needed her most.

Dear Njambi my daughter, the time has come for me to atone for my acts of omission or commission on your final journey from this world. It has been one of the most difficult episodes in my life, especially for your close family members, your mother, sisters, aunts, uncles and colleagues in the media and friends in and out of the country.”

“I will remember you in many ways and I ask here in public were I may not have fulfilled my duties as a father, please forgive me, forgive me and forgive me and I hope your soul rests in eternal peace.” Those were the exact words of Ambassador Daniel Koikai during the memorial service of her daughter.

It is alleged that he could not take it anymore and therefore he Ambassador Daniel Koikai decided to take his life on the same day that his daughter was laid to rest. The allegations are that he took his life away as the burial of Njambi Koikai was going on.

He also shared that they never met most of the time because he was working abroad but he remembers they met when Njambi was in high school and they could go shopping and go for lunch at dome restaurants in the city.

He also blamed himself for sometimes going months without talking to Njambi Koikai and he said that he will always regret that because he has lost the chance to make things right with Njambi Koikai.
