Drama in Moruga Secondary School as Student Beats Teacher

Drama was witnessed in Moruga Secondary School as a serious fight erupted between a student and a teacher. It is alleged that, the student did not tuck in his shirt well and when he met the teacher, the teacher slapped him for being indecent.

The student reacted with blows to the teacher. They wrestled for a long time and the teacher got some injuries. He was injured on the nose and rushed to the hospital for further treatment and check-up. It is alleged that the student was also beaten in that same event and he left the school.

The allegations are that, the student has left the school and he said that he will not return again. It is however not very clear if the issue between the student and the teacher was just all about the tucking in. There may be some underlying issues that we may not know.

We wish the student and the teacher quick recovery after the fight that they had. The issue should be looked into because there may be more to it.

On the other hand, a disciplined child or student cannot start a fight with his elders and especially his or her teachers. Teachers are mandated to teach the students so that they can become better people in the future.

The student could have restrained himself no matter the case. If it is a matter of just tucking in, then he must have gone too far to start a fight with his senior and someone who he should be looking up to as a mentor.

The teacher should have also not agreed to engage in a fight with his student. He should have stayed calm and just disciplined the student. If the student became rowdy, he could have sought for the services of other male teachers to help him in disciplining the student.
