The Governor of Embu County, honorable Cecily Mbarire, lectured the residents of Embu County for heckling and embarrassing President William Ruto in her presence. The heckling happened on Saturday when the Head of State was delivering his speech on Saturday.
The annoyed Governor said that, even if they are angry, they have never reached the point of showing disrespect to the Head of State through heckling. She added that, the people have been taught abusive politics by people and leaders who want them to lose track as a community.
Governor Cecily Mbarire also added that, the next time the people of Embu County will be crying that they want development in their area but it will be very difficult to ask for development if they have the audacity to heckle at the Head of State who they can run to and ask him to bring development their way.
She told the residents and pleaded with them that, she is talking from experience as a veteran politician that, they are not doing themselves any good by engaging in unnecessary political battles that are beyond them.
She gave a reference and told the residents of her county that, if they see her keeping quiet, then she knows what she is doing. She gave a reference and stated that, counties like Nyeri, Muranga, Kiambu and Kirinyaga have tarmacked roads but they do not have the same tarmacked roads in Embu County.
She further added that, they cannot be forced to leave the government when they know very well that they are lagging behind in terms of development. She added that three years is such a long period of time to be in the cold.
