Everton have now confirmed that they will stay in the Premier League next season. This is after building on the 2-0 win against Liverpool and thrashing Brentford 1-0. This is after an impressive display.
This is a major milestone for the Toffees because the club has been a victim of points deductions and it suffered a major blow twice. The players have proven that they can overcome all obstacles and go for what they want.
Everton has now gone 11 points clear off the drop zone. The club is in position 15 and it only has 3 games left to play. The only goal was scored by Idrissa Gueye.
The club has managed to build from the back and this has been displayed by the statistics of their number one goalkeeper Jordan Pickford. He has so far kept 12 clean sheets and he is the second best goalkeeper after David Raya of Arsenal who has kept the most number of clean sheets and will get the golden gloves.
Everton has also only conceded 48 goals and it is the fourth team that has conceded the least number of goals. Sean Dyche has really done a great job in the club with is limited squad and the challenges that he has faced this season including the points deductions. He surely deserves his flowers.
This was the third successive home victory for Everton in the Premier League. The club was also made to survive in the Premier League for another season by a midfielder for a second successive season after Abdoulaye Doucoure’s goal last season on the final day.
