The Governor of Homabay County, honorable Gladys Wanga spared her busy schedule and condoled with the family of Vallary Akinyi who was one of the victims of the Kenyatta University tragic bus accident at Maungu in Voi.
The Governor together with her team visited the home of Vallary Akinyi at her home in Kokoth-Kateng in North Karachuonyo, which is found in Karachuonyo Constituency, Homabay County.
“Our deepest condolences to the loved ones of Vallary Akinyi, a Kenyatta University student who tragically lost her life in the recent KU bus accident. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you navigate this difficult time. We offered our condolences to the family at Kokoth-Kateng’ in North Karachuonyo. Pole Sana. Rest in eternal peace comrade.” Governor Gladys Wanga wrote.
Many people thanked Governor Gladys Wanga for her good heart and standing in solidarity with the family of the later Kenyatta University student’s family during the hard times following the demise of Vallary Akinyi.
Many people eulogized Vallary Akinyi as the game changer in their family and she was the all-time investment for the family. They said that the family invested a lot in her and that is why they were even seeing her through school at Kenyatta University.
They said that the family has lost a great person and she was the one who was going to uplift the name of the family high. They also requested the Governor to stand with the family now that their only hope is gone and she is no more.
Governor Gladys Wanga is also a former comrade of Kenyatta University and she is an alumnus of the institution.
