How Actor Mariano Went to Jail After Being Framed Up by his Girlfriend for a Crime he Did not Commit

Kenyan Actor by the name of Mariano Simba, finally opened up on a number of issues including how his girlfriend framed him and made him to be jailed for a crime that he did not commit. He stated in an interview with one of the local media stations in Kenya that he was born in Kisumu County and he grew up in an orphanage because he came from a humble background and it was tough for his parents to fully take care of him.

He did his KCPE and passed well and then he later joined high school and also passed well. He then got the opportunity to join the college and do Criminology as a course. He left in second year because life was too tough and he needed to cater for his needs. He then decided to look for some jobs and he worked with the Kenya Red Cross for some time.

He then got the opportunity to entertain the visitors during the Annual General Meeting that was conducted by the organization. One of the leaders saw his acting skills and told him that he needs to go to Nairobi for greener pastures. He travelled to Nairobi and started going for auditions at the Kenya National Theatre. To his surprise, he met very big actors and he felt like a very little actor before them.

His breakthrough came when he saw an opportunity in a script that was to be acted. He told the people in charge that there was something that was missing and he told them that they could add the role of a Chief. He was then given the chance to perform that role and he did it well. He got his stability and then he also got a girlfriend who was still a student at the University of Nairobi.

He landed a deal with some foreigners and they wanted him to produce some models to work with. The first person who came in his mind is his girlfriend because she is also a model. The foreigners paid him a lot of money and it was written in a cheque. He gave the cheque to Sarah because he was having some other errands to run on that day.

He then told his friend to go for the cheque so that they can bank it. The friend was shocked when he found out that the cheque had been opened despite the fact that it was written confidential. He then went to meet his girlfriend one Saturday afternoon and they had a good time as partners. They even took some photos and he left at night. While he was leaving, he signed out and even gave the caretaker a tip.

He was surprised when he was given a call on Sunday morning when he was preparing to go to church. The University of Nairobi security officers told him that there is a lady who had reported a matter to them and it needed his urgent intervention. He was shocked at the charges which were laid against him. His girlfriend wrote a statement that he defiled her. To make matters worse, she referred to him as a stranger. The matter then escalated and the security officers said that the matter should be taken to the police station.

He took himself to the police station in order to write the statement. He was then taken into the cell and he was held in custody for three days which is against the law because the constitution states that a person should not be detained for more than 24 hours before being arraigned in court. He was then called by the OCS and they told him to give them the money. According to him, he said that they told him to give them 1 million shillings but he refused and they lowered their price down to 400,000 shillings. He said that he does not have the money but the lady categorically stated that he has the money.

This is the time that it clicked his mind that Sarah is the one who opened that cheque because she is the one who was carrying it. He was then taken back to the cell after he failed to comply with their demands. He was then taken to the court and the worse thing is that the officers were directed to take him to a specific court in Kibra Constituency. His lawyers provided all the evidence needed but the judge still ruled against him. He was then released on bond in order to go on with the case while coming from home.

He then looked for another girlfriend while the case was going on and they got married and even got kids. His wife was also heavily pregnant when the case was still going on. He went to the court one day with a lot of confidence that he was going to be freed but he was shocked when the judge told him that he has a case to answer.

He was sentenced to 10 years in prison and his pregnant wife had to go back home in order to take care of their family. According to him, the wife stood by him and she used to visit him on a weekly basis. The wife delivered while he was still in prison and he held the child for the first while still in custody. He however did not finish the ten years in prison. He got a new lawyer through the help of his father in law and they appealed the ruling against him.

He was pardoned after the lawyer brought in all the evidence that showed that he is innocent. He also presented the register that he used to append his signatures all the time that he was going to visit Sarah in her hostel. The judge heard his case and found out that he was wrongly convicted and he was not guilty. He was then released and he is now a free man. He is currently acting with DJ Shiti in order to get some money and feed his family.
