How Arsenal Beat Wolves 2-1 to go Top of Premier League With 4 Points Ahead

Arsenal welcomed Wolves at the Emirates stadium for another game of the English Premier League. This was after destroying Lens in the Champions League in their mid-week game with a 6-0 thriller.

Mikel Arteta stuck to a strong squad and the players demonstrated that in the opening minutes of the game. The Wolves Manager selected a squad that had five defenders in order to stop the Arsenal forward players from accessing their territory.

The creativity of the Arsenal players was far much beyond the tactics of the Newcastle United players. Takehiro Tomiyasu got a leeway and he delivered a brilliant pass to Bukayo Saka in the box of Wolves.

The Englandinternational player did not waste any chance. He scored the first goal of the game. Oleksandr Zinchenko then gave Martin Odegaard a good pass after a brilliant team performance. The Captain scored the second goal for Arsenal.

The first half ended 2-0 in favor of Arsenal. The second half was very quiet and calm until Nelson Semedo took a ball away from Zinchenko after a defensive error by the Ukrainian international player.

Nelson Semedo gave Matheus Cunha and he pulled one goal back. This made the game to look even more tense.

Mikel Arteta made some crucial changes for his side. Gabriel Jesus was taken off and Eddie Nketiah took his part. Kai Havertz for Gabriel Martinelli, Ben White for Takehiro Yomiyasu, Jorginho for Martin Odegaard and Jakub Kiwior for Bukayo Saka.

Gary O’Neil also made some changes in his team. He took off Jose Sa who was injured and replaced him with Daniel Bentley, Matt Doherty with Hugo Bueno, Pablo Sarabia with Jean-Ricner Bellegarde and Sasa Kalajdzic.

The game ended 2-1 in favor of Arsenal and the club is now 4 points ahead of Manchester City before their game with Tottenham Hotspurs.
