How Arsenal got Back to Winning Ways by Thrashing Brighton 2-0 in the Premier League

Arsenal welcomed Brighton & Hove Albion in another game of the English Premier League. This was a very important game for the Gunners after their 1-0 loss to Aston Villa last weekend. Mikel Arteta stuck with his lineup that has been giving him results this season.

The first half was arguably tough and it ended 0-0. The second half was very competitive and Arsenal showed that they wanted a win in that game. Gabriel Jesus scored the first goal that set the mood of the game.

Later on Eddie Nketiah gave Kai Havertz a good pass and the German international player scored the second goal for Arsenal. This was enough to seal the game for the Gunners. All they had to do was to defend the 2-0 lead and wait for the final whistle.

Kai Havertz has indeed improved a lot and he is starting to gain confidence and also boost his form. The German international player has now scored a total of 4 goals in his last 7 games. This is a commendable job.

Roberto De Zerbi made some changes in his squad, he substituted Joel Veltman and replaced him with Jack Hinshelwood, Adam Lallana with Facundo Buonanotte, Evan Ferguson with Joao Pedro, James Milner with Igor and Simon Adingra with Danny Welbeck who was making a comeback to the Emirates stadium where he played some time back.

Mikel Arteta also made some changes in his squad. He substituted Gabriel Jesus with Eddie Nketiah, Gabriel Martinelli with Leandro Trossard who was playing against his former team that sold him to Arsenal, Kai Havertz with Emile Smith Rowe, Bukayo Saka with Reiss Nelson and Oleksandr Zinchenko with Jakub Kiwior.

David Raya kept a clean sheet and this will help him in his tally as he is also in the race tow in the golden gloves this season. The team played well and the players showed that they have the quality that it takes to get points from stubborn teams like Brighton.

The game ended 2-0 in favor of Arsenal and the club  now has a total of 39 points after 17 games.
