Arsenal met Lens at the Emirates stadium for another game of the UEFA Champions League. The Gunners were well prepared for this game because they wanted Lens to regret why they beat the club in the first leg.
The game started on a very high note and the stone that most people rejected became the cornerstone again for laying foundation. Kai Havertz opened the score line for Arsenal and he is the one who opened the goal rich score day. He tapped in a brilliant pass from Gabriel Jesus.
The Brazilian then got the second goal for Arsenal after he was assisted by Bukayo Saka. Few minutes later, Gabriel Martinelli gave Bukayo Saka a good pass and the star boy scored the third goal for Arsenal.
Bukayo Saka has now been involved in 7 goals in 5 matches so far this season in the Champions League. There is no player who has been involved as much as him. Remember that this is his debut season in the Champions League.
Gabriel Martinelli then got a solo fourth goal. Takehiro Tomiyasu gave Martin Odegaard another good pass and the super captain wrapped up the perfect first half display with another brillant goal.
The first half ended 5-0 in favor of Arsenal. The second half was relatively calm but Arsenal still dominated the game.
Mikel Arteta made some changes in his squad, he substituted Alexandre Zinchenko and replaced him with Jakub Kiwior, Takehiro Tomiyasu with Ben White, Declan Rice with Jorginho, Bukayo Saka with Reiss Nelson and Gabriel Jesus with Eddie Nketiah.
Arsenal got a penalty towards the end of the game and Jorginho was given the responsibility to take it and he did not waste any chance. The game ended 6-0 in favor of Arsenal and thus the club has qualified for the Champions League next round.
