How Manchester City Butchered Manchester United 3-0

Manchester United welcomed Manchester City in another Premier League game at the Old Trafford. Things were not looking good on the side of Manchester United from the word go. Erik ten Hag’s lineup was not one which was ready to beat Pep Guardiola’s squad.

The defense was not very solid and strong because it had Diogo Dalot, Harry Maguire, Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof. Manchester City on the other end was very well organized and the bench itself was looking very sharp.

Manchester City got a penalty in the first half and as usual, Erling Haaland was given the task to take it and he understood the assignment very well. He slotted the ball past Andre Onana and gave Manchester City the lead.

The goal stood for the entire first half. The second half also started on a very high note and from the look of things, it was very evident that Pep Guardiola had talked some wisdom in the players and told them how to attack Manchester United which was the enemy as at that time.

Bernado Silva gave Erling Haaland a brilliant pass and the Norwegian international player added the second goal of the game. He now has a total of 11 goals which is more that Manchester United’s goals these season as a team.

Erling Haaland got involved again in the third goal after he set a good pass for Phil Foden who sank the hopes of Manchester United of getting a comeback in the game.

Pep Guardiola only made two changes in the entire game. He substituted Jack Grealish and replaced him with Jeremy Doku whil Mateo Kovacic took the place of Julian Alvarez.

Erik ten Hag on the other hand made some several changes. He substituted Sofyan Amrabat and replaced him with Mason Mount, Rasmus Hojlund with Alejandro Garnacho, Victor Lindelof with Sergio Reguilon, Christian Eriksen with Antony and Marcus Rashford with Anthony Martial.

The game ended 3-0 in favor of Manchester City who are the English Premier League defending Champions.
