Newcastle United hosted Chelsea in another game of the English Premier League. The game started on a very high note and it was very evident that they all needed a win and three points in the game.
Newcastle United opened the score line through Alexander Isak who got a brilliant pass from Lewis Miley. This however did not last long because Chelsea got an equalizer from Raheem Sterling. The first half ended 1-1.
The second half was full of drama and Newcastle United stole the show and scored two goals in a span of less than two minutes. Anthony Gordon gave Jamal Lascelles a brilliant pass and the Captain of the side headed in a brilliant goal. This was his first goal after almost two years.
Joelinton took advantage of a defensive error by Thiago Silva and he scored the third goal just immediately after Newcastle’s second goal. This made things even thicker for Chelsea.
Things turned from worst to worst for Chelsea after Reece James was sent off after receiving a second yellow card that translated to a red card. The Newcastle United players took advantage of the opportunity and added the fourth goal.
Miguel Almiron gave Anthony Gordon a brilliant pass and he fully secured the three points for Newcastle United. Jesus Perez who was standing in for Mauricio Pochettino utilized all his substitutions. He substituted Conor Gallagher and replaced him with Mykhailo Mudryk, Lesley Ugochukwu with Moises Caicedo, Nicolas Jackson with Armando Broja, Cole Palmer with Levi Colwill and Raheem Sterling with Noni Madueke.
Eddie Howe also made some changes in his team. He substituted Alexander Isak and replaced him with Matt Ritchie, Jamaal Lascelles with Paul Dummett, Miguel Almiron with Alex Murphy, Anthony Gordon with Michael Ndiweni amd Lewis Miley with Amadou Diallo.The game ended 4-1 in favor of Newcastle United.
