MP Peter Salasya Finally Speaks After Another Ugly Confrontation in Kakamega

The Member of Parliament of Mumias East Constituency, honorable Peter Salasya got into another violent confrontation and he was left with some damages in his vehicle after youths damaged it.

 

He met some rowdy youths on Saturday and they descended on his vehicle and pelted it with stones. The vocal member of Parliament did not keep quiet with the incident but spoke after it.

 

He alleged that it is one of the big officials of Kakamega county government who sent those youths to cause him harm and even destroy the vehicle. He added that the youths are being used to settle political clashes and they should not allow themselves to be used for violent activities.

Honorable Peter Salasya also said that he is a legislator and he has security just like the person who sent those youths. According to him, if at all he could have reacted to the incident, then things could have turned very ugly because he could have used his protective gears.

Honorable Peter Salasya alleged that it is Governor Barasa who may be behind his woes because they do not get along nowadays. He even threatened that if the trend continues, then he will not have any handshake with the Governor.

 

He also threatened that he does not care about anything at this stage and therefore he should not be forced to have a handshake with the Governor. They were good friends before the elections and he even campaigned for him.

Honorable Peter Salasya also claimed that he will now vie for the Kakamega county gubernatorial seat in 2027 because he resonates well with the people and he is very sure that he will defeat his opponent.

Prior to yesterday’s confrontation, Salasya was on Sunday, November 13 2023 attacked and chased out of a church service at Bukaya Catholic Church. Mumias East MP Peter Salasya embroiled in a confrontation at Bukaya Catholic Church.

His bodyguards shot in the air to disperse the rowdy youth believed to be supporters of Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa and whisk the lawmaker to safety.
