The Nairobi County Minority leader honorable Anthony Kiragu has now claimed that the Nairobi County Governor, honorable Johnson Sakaja facilitate the Kamukunji Azimio La Umoja political rally that was held on Monday 23rd January 2023.
He said in a Press Conference that they are aware that Governor Sakaja facilitated the planning of that meeting and he donated Charter Hall on Sunday afternoon where groups were meeting during the day to strategize to mobilize and to do fundraising for that event.
He even appealed to the Governor not to wear a yellow T-Shirt during the day and a blue one at night. He also added that they are aware that the Governor did not just provide the Kamukunji grounds as the venue but he also financed it.
According to him, money was collected for the rally at Governor Sakaja’s office at Riverside. He said that they are aware of that and they are watching. According to the Minority leader, the Governor should come out strong and protect the people of Nairobi County.
He also added that he should come out strong and deliver to the people of Nairobi county. He also added that Governor Sakaja should come out clearly and say his stand in the political arena whether he is in Kenya Kwanza or Azimio La umoja.
Governor Sakaja was elected by very many voters and he was elected by all tribes that live in Nairobi county. He has always stated that he will work for everybody without looking at the political side that they come from because at the end of the day he is the Governor of the whole of Nairobi county and not for some people only.
