New England Boss Reveals why he did not Call-up Ben White Despite Impressive Record for Arsenal

The New England Boss, Lee Carsley has revealed why he did not call-up Ben White for the UEFA Nations qualifiers, despite the impressive record and form that the England international player has been having for Arsenal.

He revealed that, he has not talked to Ben White and he is not planning to talk to him because he requested that he should not been contacted. He again emphasized that they are not talking because that is the decision of Ben White.

Ben White left the England camp during the World Cup competition and ever since he refused to be called up again for National duty. Many people thought that maybe he had a feud with the former Manager, Gareth Southgate.

Ben White is however a utility player who is naturally a centre back, but Mikel Arteta converted him into a right back when he was having issues in that right-back position. He has developed into a very key player for the Gunners in the right-back position since then.

Ben White is currently undisputed at the right-back at Arsenal because he has the qualities to move ahead and assist in attack and also the qualities to defend well.

In the England squad, he is always overlooked because there is Kyle Walker and Trent Alexander Arnold ahead of him in the pecking order. His decision may just be good because he does not want to keep on sitting on the bench without even kicking a ball during the international duties.

Arsenal fans on the other hand also support Ben White’s decision and they have embraced him well. They know that he is one of their first team players and they need him fit always so that he can continue dispensing his football skills at the club. His ability to play in more than one position makes him a very important player for Mikel Arteta.
