Pope Francis while speaking to Seminarians in Rome gave his response on a question that was asked on how the new clergy members can effectively use the current modern tools in spreading the word.
He answered that he will not ask the people who have had at least a single experience with it to raise their hands up but if at all all of them have had such an experience or temptation, then it is something that is common to so many people.
He went ahead and said that so many laymen and even laywomen and also the Priests and the nuns, the devil uses the opportunity through there. He added that he is not just talking of the digital pornography and people should pay keen attention to such bad vices.
“So many laymen, so many laywomen, and also Priests and Nuns. The devil enters from there. And I’m not just talking about digital pornography like that of child abuse, this is already degeneracy. Dear brothers pay attention to this,” the Pope Said.
He also added that the digital tools must be used but people should know that pornography weakens the soul and it also weakens the Priestly heart. He also encouraged all the people who were there to delete anything in relation to that in their mobile phones. He added that deleting them will keep the temptations out of their hands.
He also stated that, when he was ordained as a Bishop in Argentina, he was given a mobile phone but he was just using it once in a while to call his sister and he would later return it after finishing the call.
