The former Prime Minister honorable Raila Odinga has challenged the government in regards to the death of General Francis Ogolla who was the Chief of Defense Forces.
He has issued a Statement and told the government that it owes Kenyans a thorough, professional and transparent investigation into the death of General Francis Ogolla. He added that only such an investigation will put the family and the whole nation into peace because people are having very many unanswered questions that need answers.
Honorable Raila Odinga also said that many near death experiences have occurred with the security aircrafts and Kenyans and the whole world at large may never know the exact thing and reason that made the helicopter that General Francis Ogolla was using and later led to his death.
He also said that he hopes that this tragedy will mark a new beginning so that some serious work can be done in the security equipment and especially the aircrafts because they are the ones that are always prone to accidents.
Honorable Raila Odinga said that it is now time to check on how the equipment can be modernized because that was the vision of General Francis Ogolla but he has suddenly died before achieving it.
The former Prime Minister said that General Francis Ogolla made some reforms in the security of Kenya and if the government can sustain the vision and reforms that he had initiated, then the government should continue with that legacy and also fix the helicopters that are being used by security officials when they are going for missions.
