The Orange Democratic Movement Director of Communications, honorable Philip Etale has named the seven Kenya Kwanza Members of Parliament who allegedly ate big and defended the embattled Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture, honorable Mithika Linturi from impeachment.
Honorable Philip Etale wrote in his social media handles that the Majority in the Parliamentary Select Committee had their way in the investigations involving CS Mithika Linturi in the fake fertilizer scandal.
He also stated that the minority in the Committee who are the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Legislators stood their ground and gave a go ahead for the Cabinet Secretary honorable Mithika Linturi to be impeached.
He named the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Committee members who stood with the farmers and they are honorable Mbui, TJ Kajwang, Catherine Omanyo and Yusuf Farah.
Honorable Philip Etale further went ahead and named the seven Members of Parliament who according to him betrayed the farmers and decided to stand with the embattled Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture, honorable Mithika Linturi.
The seven legislators according to honorable Philip Etale are, honorable Naomi Waqo, Malulu Injendi who were representing farmers in Western region, honorable Samuel Chepkonga who was representing farmers in North Rift, honorable George Murugara, honorable Kassim Tandaza, honorable Rachael Nyamai and honorable Nyeri Maina.
Honorable Philip Etale further said that two reports will be tabled in Parliament during the special sitting as gazetted by the Speaker, one will be in support of the fake fertilizer and the other one which is against the fake fertilizer and which is more popular with Kenyans.
He however requested the plenary to make the right decision that will favor all Kenyans. The opposition and some of the Legislators from the ruling party called for the impeachment of honorable Mithika Linturi and they even voted that he should be shown the exit door and the President should crack his whip and start with him before embarking on other Ministries too.
