Raphael Varane Hangs up his Boots and Retires from Professional Football at Only 31 Years Old

Veteran defender Raphael Varane has hanged up his boots and finally called it a quit in football at only age 31 years old. He is considered a very young player who could have still played some viral matches until age 40 years old.

The French international player has won a total of 22 trophies in his fantastic legacy which can only be described as a legendary career. He has managed tow in various prestigious trophies:

Raphael Varane retired at Como after sustaining yet another injury. He will however continue working in football because Como has offered him a non-playing role at the club. The Management of the club sees him as a long term project.

Raphael Varane had earlier hinted that he wanted to retire from professional football and immediately focus on other duties. He had even discussed with the club to terminate his contract because of the injury crisis that has been hitting him of late.

The decision of players to hang their boots at young ages is now very common and maybe it can be attributed to exposure to football at a very tender age. The other young players who hanged their boots at early ages are like Wayne Rooney, Theo Walcott and Jack Wilshere.

Raphael Varane has seen everything in football and e has virtually won all the important titles that he needed to have won. He can now retire as a satisfied man because he has lived his purpose and he has achieved what he needed to achieve in a short span of time both for his country France and the clubs that he has played for Like Real Madrid where he got most of the honors and Manchester United.
