Newcastle United met Arsenal in another intense Premier League game. Arsenal went into the game with some bad news as the skipper of the side, Martin Odegaard did not make it to the match day squad.
The first half was very intense but there were no fruits that were bore. The two teams went into the break when the score line was 0-0. The second half was equally very stiff and tight but Eddie Howe read the game very well.
He made some three quick successive changes that made the difference in the game. Dan Burn was taken off and his place was taken by Valentino Livramento, Callum Wilson with Joe Willock and Miguel Almiron with Jacob Murphy.

Anthony Gordon got a goal which had a lot of controversies, the ball had gone outside, Gabriel was fouled yet he could have headed the ball outside. One Newcastle United player could have been offside.
The VAR took so long but to the surprise of many, the goal was given and it stood. Mikel Arteta looked for a response in the game and he made his own changes. He substituted Ben White and replaced him with Oleksandr Zinchenko. He also took Eddie Nketiah off and replaced him with Leandro Trossard and substituted Jorginho with Fabio Vieira.

Newcastle United got another blow after Jacob Murphy who was introduced as a substitute got injured again and he had to be taken off for Matt Ritchie to replace him. The game was tight but Arsenal did not manage to get any goal.
The unbeaten run of Arsenal came to an end as the game ended 1-0 in favor of Newcastle United.
