Saka, Odegaard, Timber and Calafiori Absent in Arsenal’s Training Ahead of Liverpool Game

Arsenal will host Liverpool on Sunday at the Emirates Stadium for another big clash. The Gunners trained on Friday ahead of that match but there were some notable first team players who were missing.

Talisman Bukayo Saka was not spotted in the training ground and it is now not very clear if he will be part of the team or not. Mikel Arteta said that, he had some little training on the grass and he is not sure if he is fit for the clash. He added that he will monitor him on Saturday to see how far his fitness will be.

Bukayo Saka got injured during the international break when he was representing England. Martin Odegaard too also got injured while representing Norway during the other international break. He is also a big doubt for this game because he has not recovered.

Jurrien Timber was also not spotted in the training ground. He will also probably miss the game because he has been struggling with some injury ever since he joined Arsenal. He has been impressive in the few games that he has played this season.

Riccardo Calafiori was substituted in the mid-week against Shakhtar Donetsk and it was confirmed that he was injured. Mikel Arteta said that, the Italian international player needs some more tests to be conducted on him and therefore it is officially confirmed that he will miss that game.

Arsenal will also go into that big game without one of their solid rocks in the Centre half. William Saliba got a red card against Bournemouth and his absence really affected Arsenal. It made the Gunners to be beaten for the first time this season.

It is still not very clear how Arsenal will cope with the on form Liverpool when the club will miss nearly half of its first team players.

Mikel Arteta will however use the available players because all the players are always very much ready to come on and make some positive impact in any game.
