The mother of the late Sheila Wegesha has denied knowing Jack Bamboo as his in law who married her daughter Sheila Wegesha.
According to her, there is a lie that is being peddled that Jack Bamboo met her in Homabay and they even negotiated the dowry of Sheila Wegesha.
She said that she could not do such a thing because she knew very well that Sheila Wegesha was already married in Nyalkinyi Village in Homabay and she could have not agreed to take another bride price yet Sheila Wegesha’s bride price had already been paid.
She also added that she could not sit down with a killer like Jack Bamboo according to her and negotiate the dowry of Sheila Wegesha who had already been married.
Sheila Wegesha’s mother stated that according to how she knows the relationship between Jack Bamboo and Sheila Wegesha is that they are just friends who met and decided to stay together.
Sheila Wegesha’s mother also said that she is requesting the government to speed up the investigations into the death of her daughter so that justice can finally be served and her daughter can get the justice that she deserves.
She also stated that the children of Sheila Wegesha also need justice because she knows that Sheila Wegesha was working very hard and she was really a hardworking lady who had amassed some wealth but there is fear that Jack Bamboo’s family may go for the wealth and sideline the children of Sheila Wegesha.
According to her, she knows that her daughter also made the wealth and therefore Sheila Wegesha’s children should not be left to languish in poverty yet their mother had worked very hard while she was still alive to make sure that they all have a better life in both life and in both death.
