Sherehe Hadi Monday! Working Class Happy as CS Kindiki Declares Monday a Public Holiday

The working class are a happy lot in Kenya after the Cabinet Secretary of Interior, Professor Kithure Kindiki declared Monday 17th June 2024 as a Public holiday. It will mark Eid-ul-Adha which is one of the two Islamic holidays that are celebrated worldwide yearly.

This is a holiday that is always used to mark the culmination of the annual pilgrimage to Mecca that is the Holiest City to Muslims. It is a mandatory religious duty and it has to be performed

Most of the working class are very happy because the announcement was made on Friday and it therefore means that the next day that they will report to work is on Tuesday. This has now given them ample time to rest after working well.

It will also be a very perfect time for those with families to bond well because some people always leave the house very early in the morning when their children are still asleep and they come again later in the evening when they are asleep again.

This will give them ample time to spend time with their family members and re-ignite that bond that has been missing. Some parents have left the well-being of their children at the hands of their house Managers and their children just see them as strangers because they do not feel that parent to child touch since their parents are ever busy making money forgetting that they are drifting the love of their children away.

Some people are also happy with the holiday because they will have all the time to party from today Friday all the way to Monday and then go to work on Tuesday with a lot of hangovers. There are those who will spend the holiday well and those who will also misuse it and also misuse their funds and go broke.
