Austine Omondi Owino who is one of the victims who died in the Kenyatta University road accident on their way to Mombasa County. His body was finally taken home for burial and he was finally laid to rest.
He was buried at his rural home in Kokello village, which is found in East Kamagak ward in Kasipul Constituency, Homabay County. Austine Omondi Owino was euologized as a vibrant young man who had a lot of vision.
He was also eulogized as a very promising young man who was bright and it is his excellence in high school that made him to be placed to study at Kenyatta University.
It is very sad for the family to lose a promising young man who was going to be the epitome of change in his family. Austine Omondi Owino was going to become a great person after completing his studies at Kenyatta University because of his vision but his life was cut short even before he lived to see his dreams.
It is also sad that the Kenyatta University student was sent to go and study but the most unthinkable happened to him in his line of study. The trip that they were going for was an academic trip and it was organized by Kenyatta University.
The accident claimed a total of 11 lives and it has been very hard for even the students and the whole Kenyatta University fraternity to fathom and come to terms with the tragedy that befell the institution last month.
