What was Witnessed in Manchester United’s 4-0 Win Against Liverpool

Manchester United met Liverpool in their first pre-season game ahead of the new season. This was Ten Hag’s first game in charge. He named a very strong squad in the first half and the players gave him the desired results.

He started with David de Gea in the goalpost and he was assisted in the defence by defenders like Raphael Varane, Victor Lindelof,Luke Shaw and Diogo Dalot.The midfield was also packed and it had Bruno Fernandes who was the captain,Fred and Scott McTominay. The striking force was manned by Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford.


Jurgen Klopp had a blended squad with Allison Becker in the goalpost. He was assisted by players like Mabaya, Phillips, Gomez and Chambers in the defence. The midfield had Henderson, Morton and Carvalho. The striking force had Elliot, Diaz and Firmino.

The Red Devils squad overpowered the Liverpool squad and the players scored three quick successive goals in the first half. Jadon Sancho scored the first goal before Fred and Martial added the second and the third goal before the end of the first half.


The second half was a completely different one and Ten Hag only left David de Gea among the players who started the game. He brought in Alex Telles, Aaron Wan Bissaka, Bailey, Malacia, Pellistri, Amad, Van de Beek, Elanga, Savage and Iqbal. Pellistri added the fourth goal and this made it tough for Liverpool to make a comeback.

The game ended 4-0 in favor of Manchester United. This marked the start of the era of Ten Hag as a good one since he recorded a very huge win against one of the best clubs in the English Premier League.
