Sterling Photos of Kenyatta University’s 56th Graduation Ceremony

Kenyatta University celebrated its 56th graduation ceremony today. The Acting Vice Chancellor, Professor Waceke Wanjohi stated that, the University conferred 57 Doctorates, 451 Masters Degrees, 4760 Bachelor’s Degrees, 276 Diplomas, 46 Postgraduate Diplomas and 26 Certificates.

The Acting Vice Chancellor Professor Waceke Wanjohi also added that, they managed to graduate their first cohort of the Competency Based Curriculum and the University Management is very happy for the milestone that they have achieved so far as much as matters of Education are concerned.

The Guest of honor was supposed to be the Cabinet Secretary of Education but he did not make it. He sent Mr. Fredrick Ndambuki who is the Secretary of Administration, State Department for Higher Education and Research at the Ministry of Education.

Dr. Ben Chumo who is the Chairman of the University Council said that, they are very proud to associate themselves with the success of the graduates and they believe that they will continue associating with Kenyatta University in their capacity as the alumni of the Institution.

The alumni speech was delivered by Mr. Elijah Omwenga who is the TSC Central Regional County Director. He graduated back in the year 1993. He told the graduates that, their journey proves that, hard work and Education can take them far.

He further urged the graduates that, what they should now focus more on, is building networks that will help them in the future. He urged them to build a network of alumni because it is from there that they can get to share ideas and pick up one or two.

The speech from the graduates was delivered by Francis Kariuki who graduated with Bachelor of Science in Education from the School of Education and Lifelong Learning and Mukami Murugi who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Public Health from the School of Health Sciences.
