Major demands an explanation from Fatima, and she tells him that he claimed to be the leader of an army and that his wish would be granted, and then she goes on and on about how he confessed his feelings for her and how he cried at her feet because he realized she was his peace. Major finds all this ridiculous and takes off the ring and gives it back to her, demanding to know what she did to him because he cannot remember.
Dida gets out of her automobile, goes into a store to buy some water, and then returns to her vehicle.
Kaka is working on a construction site on the other side of town when he receives a call from Dida. She is surprised that he answered her call, but Kaka quickly becomes cold and dismissive, telling her to speak up because he is very busy and has a lot to do. When she asks why he hasn’t checked on her since they last met, he says he doesn’t have time to chitchat and that he, too, left the village that night. Since locating Maria will be extremely challenging, Dida is left high and dry.
When Major demands to know what Fatima did to her, she pulls out her phone and shows him pictures and a video from the night before in which Major declares his love for Fatima while the two dance together and, after an emotional Fatima cries into Major’s shoulder, he reassures her and says he will always love her. When Major sees Fatima grinning to herself, he reacts with amazement and then gets up, ties a towel around his waist, and storms out of the room when Fatima tries to touch him.
To see if Sultana is doing okay, JJ and Sada speed to the hospital, where Sada is greeted by Bi. Salama with a kind hug. Bi. Salama, Sda, and JJ are taken aback by Maria’s reaction when JJ asks for permission to meet his wife. Maria warns JJ that he is going nowhere unless he wants to die. Major steps outside to gather his thoughts on the events of the previous night. Fatima is ecstatic in her chamber because she is now the most likely heir to Major’s fortune after the revelations that JJ is not Major’s son and Ua is insane. She recalls how she convinced Major to sign the marriage papers using her charm.
Ua watches Major walking about the room from the balcony and begins to cry; Asiya delivers Ua breakfast and is devastated to find her crying. While Fatima stands outside the door listening in, Ua sits down and Asiya joins her. Ua admits that Sultana is her child and that she feels terrible for draining Asiya of her blood.
Maria prevents JJ from visiting Sultana; Bi. Salama asks to take it easy, but Maria won’t let her; Maria insists that JJ should leave because he is the reason Sultana miscarried; JJ questions who Maria thinks she is, given that she has no idea what he and Sultana have been through; Maria tells him to leave because Sultana doesn’t want to see him. Bi. Salama tries to ease the tension by suggesting they check in with Sultana inside to see whether they will see each other.
Fatima finds Major relaxing on the couch, and she insists on talking about the problem in their marriage, but Major tells her he has a lot on his mind and he doesn’t have time to talk about her nonsense, despite the videos she showed him as proof. He adds that it’s all because he was brainwashed, and he’s considering what to do, but Fatima tells him to cancel out the divorce because she only knows how to love.
Bi. Salama and Sada visit Sultana in the hospital to see how she’s doing; Sultana says she’s had enough of being in the hospital and wants to go home; Sada says she’ll make that happen; Sultana also says that she came with JJ, who was worried after hearing about what happened; Salama and Sada ask if JJ should come see her, but she doesn’t respond right away.
When Asiya emerges from Ua’s room, Major calls him in to see how she is doing. Fatima’s reaction surprises Asiya, so he learns that Ua is really sad and that Fatima doesn’t know what to do to help her. Asiya becomes concerned when Major asks her to follow him after she has finished her chores so that they can have a private conversation. Maria confronts JJ, who tries to explain that he and Sultana are deeply in love and that she is legally his wife, but Maria tells him to save his breath and that Sultana is better off without him and that he should simply leave. Since JJ believes Sultana got in trouble for trying to help her flee the hospital, he wonders if Sultana was safe with her. Maria is stunned; JJ reveals he is a doctor with acquaintances nearby; he then inquires as to whether Maria intended to transfer Sultana to the ghetto, remarking that Sultana would not do well there. Maria gets offended and raises her fist, but she cools down when she sees the cops approaching; Maria runs away, and JJ is ordered to kneel so that his hands can be cuffed.
