Buya, in agony at the landfill, begs Maria for water. Maria’s shouting brings a large crowd to the area.
When Fatima tries to phone Dida from Major’s house, she gets an unanswered call. Fatima becomes frustrated and calls Dida a dumb girl because she cannot simply disappear at a time when they require her most. When she becomes enraged, Major makes an effort to soothe her. When Fatima expresses concern for Dida, Major reminds her that Dida is still a young child and could be bewildered by Buya’s absence. Fatima advises Major to stay with her so that they can provide consistent statements to the authorities whenever they arrive. Major tells Fatima not to worry since Dida would come back. Major then inquires as to Asia’s progress with Bi Ua and whether or not she carried out his directive. Asia reassures Ua that she will be okay
Ua returns to the basement with the doll in tow and confronts Major about abandoning her in charge of caring for the baby. Major receives the baby doll and her instructions to care for the infant. Massive amounts of agreement.
Maria frantically rushes while staring back towards the landfill. She says the guy at the site wants her aid, but she is unable to provide it.
Asia implores Bi Ua to return to his room at Major’s house. In order to get some space, Bi Ua orders Asia to back off. Ua instructs Major to raise the child as his own, despite the fact that he and his wife had hoped for a son but were instead blessed with a daughter. To Major, Ua is just a doll, not a baby. While Bi Ua relaxes, she sends Major outdoors with the baby. Fatima bursts out laughing after Major discards the doll.
Maria returns to the area where Buya is sitting, and she begins to gaze at him and make him feel at ease. A glass of water is handed to Buya by Maria. She tries to prop up his head so that he can drink the water. Maria manages to get Buya a drink of water despite his helplessness.
Salama isn’t interested in the fish that Babu catches for him. Salama tells Babu she can’t cook an octopus because she’s exhausted. Salama asks Babu to cook some octopus for him, and Babu promises to do so. A concerned Babu inquires of Salama, “What’s going on?” after noticing her bewilderment. He is told by Salama that she is frightened since Kokan and Sultana left but have not returned.
Bi Ua, visiting Major, is posing at the pool as though she were about to jump in. When Asia spots her, she immediately begins screaming. Before she can jump into the pool, she dials Major, and he immediately comes to her rescue. Major, Fatima, and Asia intercept Bi Ua as she runs for the water. She returns to the house after asking Major where her baby is.
WRITTEN UPDATE FOR SULTANA CITIZEN TV AIRED ON MONDAY, NOVEMBER 14, 2022, PART 2
Toy in hand, Bi Ua enters the house. Major and Fatima trail behind and are taken aback by her current condition. Bi Ua reassures Major that the child’s disappearance was not his fault and that anyone may have taken the kid. She is a doll, not a child, Major informs her. Major’s insulting description of Bi Ua’s child as a toy infuriates the mother. The child is still hers, Bi Ua assures Major, and she will love her. Fatima informs Ua that the child’s brain isn’t working and that she’s a doll.
Fatima is asked by Bi Ua to explain who she is and why she has the nerve to speak to Bi Ua in the manner that Bi Ua desires. To get the doll, Major begs Ua to give it to him. Taken aback, Ua takes the doll and asks him to stop confronting others. Major is instructed by Bi Ua to sing to the baby till she falls asleep. Fatima’s smile broadens. As Fatima continues to giggle, Major begins a little song for the doll.
As a result of Maria’s heroics, Buya is saved and taken to her house. After some reflection, she understands that he must have been severely injured. She goes outside and frets that the individuals who tried to kill Buya will soon be coming after her because of the trouble she’s caused.
Here in the village, Bi Salama gets the fire going as Babu gets the octopus ready. Salama, Babu assures her, should not fret; they will return. JJ stops by and inquires of Bi Salama about Sultana’s whereabouts. Bi Salama breaks down in tears. Frustrated, JJ decides to leave.
Kokan and Sultana’s day out at the salon. Kokan notices her new haircut and begins to gush over her beauty. Sultana begs Kokan to hurry up and take her home. Following their embrace, he walks her back to his sluggish little scooter. Scooter iko sluggish kama wheelbarrow, Yaani Sultana amewacha gari kubwa akafuata.
Dida goes to Buya’s usual club in the hopes of running into him. The bartender begs her to stop ordering more alcohol, but she insists on getting more. She orders her to give her more liquor, yelling at her.
Babu and Salama are still cooking dinner late at night. Nobody has seen Sultana or Kokan yet. Salama asks Babu to look out for Sultana, and Babu assures him that Kokan is not a murderer. Salama explains to Babu that she feels bad for JJ because he is in agony and that Kokan is taking advantage of this to deal with JJ and irritate him even more. After what JJ’s family did to Maneno, Babu tells her, he “deserves worse.”
