Kenyans were saddened by the sudden demise of Comedian Fred Omondi who is the young brother of comedian Eric Omondi. Reports by the police have indicated that Comedian Fred Omondi met his tragic death through a road accident along Kangundo Road.
The incident occurred at around 6:am on Saturday morning near Caltex Petrol station along Kangudo Road. The accident involved a Forward Travellers vehicle of Registration Number KCC 126A which was driven by Stephen Maina of Kayole.
The Forward Travellers Vehicle had a head on collusion with a motorcycle that was carrying Comedian Fred Omondi and it was coming from the opposite direction near Consolidated Bank.
The head on collision left comedian Fred Omondi in a bad state because he did not survive the accident. He died on the spot. Apparently the police report also indicated that the boda boda that was carrying Comedian Fred Omondi was riding on the wrong side of the road.
The driver of the bus also sustained very serious injuries on his right leg and fractures on his hands. He was taken to Mama Lucy hospital for treatment while the body of Fred Omondi was also taken to Mama Lucy before Eric Omondi went there as the family representative.
Eric Omondi who is his elder brother mourned him bitterly because he has lost a brother who he mentored into the comic world and was doing well as a standalone comedian who had his own shows after leaving Churchill Show where he had also performed.
Fred Omondi was also seen partying with his friends just the night before his death and it seems that he met his death while coming from the club. The video has gone viral on social media and it has been shared by many people.
He was very jovial and his friends could not tell that he was just biding them bye because they were having the last party.
