The game started on a very high note in the first half. The game was too tough that there is no team that scored any goal. The first half ended 0-0. The second half equally started on a very high note and it was evident that all the two teams needed a win in the game.
Roberto De Zerbi only made two changes in the entire game. He substituted Julio Cesar Enciso and replaced him with Joel Veltman and Danny Welbeck with Denis Undav.
Erik ten Hag also made some changes in his team. He substituted Christian Eriksen and replaced him with Fred, Anthony Martial with Jadon Sancho, Antony with Marcel Sabitzer, Bruno Fernandes with Wout Weghorst and Aaron Wan-Bissaka with Tyrell Malacia.
The full time whistle was blown when the game was still 0-0. It forced the teams to into extra time. The deadlock was not broken even after the end of the extra time. As the norm, a winner was needed in order to know the team that was going to face Manchester City in the FA Cup final.
