Manchester United visited Newcastle United in another game of the English Premier League. This was a battle for position three because a win for Manchester United was going to consolidate that position while a win for Newcastle United was going to take the club into the third position and dislodge Manchester United from that position based on their superior goal difference.
The game started on a very high note and it was not easy for the Manchester United player to penetrate. The Newcastle United players got very many chances and they had a couple of chances and shorts on target but they did not make use of them. The first half ended 0-0.
The second half was a very interesting one and the home team showed that they needed nothing but three points. Allan Saint Maximin gave Joe Willock a brilliant pass and he scored the first goal.
Eddie Howe made some changes to his squad and he removed Allan Saint Maximin and replaced him with Joelinton, Jacob Murphy with Anthony Gordon, Alexander Isak with Callum Wilson and Joseph Willock with Elliot Anderson.
His substitutions worked well for him and Kieran Trippier gave Callum Wilson a good pass that led to the second goal. Erik ten Hag also made some changes in his squad. He removed Antony and replaced him with Jadon Sancho, Wout Weghorst with Anthony Martial, Scott McTominay with Fred, Lisandro Martinez with Facundo Pellistri and Raphael Varane with Victor Lindelof.
The game finally ended 2-0 in favor of Newcastle United. The club is now in position three while Manchester United is in position four.
