Arsenal met West Ham United in another game of the English Premier League. This was their first game after the World Cup break. The two Managers named very strong squads for the encounter.
The first half started on a very high note and it is West Ham that enjoyed it more. The club got a penalty after Jarrod Bowen was fouled inside the penalty area. Said Benrahma was given the task to take the penalty and he slotted it in. The first half ended 1-0 in favor of West Ham United.
The second half started on a very high note and it was very evident that Mikel Arteta’s boys were going to pull a surprise. Martin Odegaard gave Bukayo Saka a brilliant pass and the English international player pulled an equalizer for the Gunners.
Moments later, Granit Xhaxa gave Gabriel Martinelli another good pass and the Brazilian international player put Arsenal ahead. Martin Odegaard pulled another brilliant pass to Edward Nketiah and the striker scored a brilliant goal that took the game out of reach of West Ham United.
David Moyes made two substitutions and he brought in Pablo Fornals and Divin Mubama in place of Tomas Soucek and Michail Antonio. Mikel Arteta also made three substitutions and he substituted Kieran Tierney, Gabriel Martinelli and Mohamed Elneny and replaced them with Oleksandr Zinchenko, Fabio Vieira and Mohamed Elneny.
The Gunners showed that they are indeed title contenders and they were not intimidated by the early goal that they had conceded in the first half. This was a clear message to the other Premier League teams that the Gunners want nothing but a win of the Premier League title after very many years of waiting.
The game ended 3-1 in favor of the Gunners and the team extended its lead in the Premier League table.
