Mikel Arteta made only a couple of changes in his usual starting eleven. He finally gave Leandro Trossard a start and benched Gabriel Martinelli.

The first half started on a very high note and Ollie Watkins got the first goal after he was given an assist by Matty Cash. Bukayo Saka then pulled one back for the Gunners and brought the team back to level points.

Alex Moreno then gave Phillippe Coutinho a brilliant pass and the Brazilian international player scored the second goal for Aston Villa. They maintained the lead until the end of the first half. The first half ended 2-1 in favor of Aston Villa.

Mikel Arteta made a change which was very effective. He substituted Leandro Trossard and replaced him with Gabriel Martinelli who was still having a lot of energy. He really disturbed the Aston Villa defenders. He also brought in Fabio Vieira in place of Granit Xhaxa and Takehiro Tomiyasu in place of Ben White.

Arsenal got the third goal after Jorginho made a very strong strike that hit the crossbar and came back and hit the head of Emiliano Martinez. The ball went in and it was counted as an own goal from the goalkeeper.

Mikel Arteta rushed in his bench in order to reinforce his defence and protect the hard earned lead that the club got. He substituted Martin Odegaard and brought in Rob Holding. He also substituted Oleksandr Zinchenko and replaced him with Kieran Tierney.

Unai Emery also made some changes in his team. He substituted Phillipe Coutinho and replaced him with Jacob Ramsey, Emiliano Buendia with Leon Bailey, Douglas Luiz with Leander Dendoncker, Ollie Watkins with Jhon Duran and Alex Moreno with Lucas Digne.

Aston Villa got a corner towards the last minute of the game and Emiliano Martinez went forward in order to see if he could recover the mess that he did and at least get an equalizer for his team.

This was a very bad idea. Fabio Vieira got the ball and he looked for Gabriel Martinelli who was in front alone. He got the ball and overpowered the defenders. The goal was empty and he even started celebrating before he netted the ball in. The Brazilian international player scored a brilliant goal and confirmed all the three points for Arsenal.

The game ended in a 4-2 comeback win for Arsenal. This will now bring back the morale and even the confidence of the players. They really needed it in order to get back to winning ways.
