Arsenal played against MLS All-Stars in another Pre-season game in the United States. Mikel Arteta unleashed a very good squad that gave him the results that he was looking for. His starting lineup had Aaron Ramsdale in the goalpost, the defence had Jakub Kiwior, Gabriel Magalhaes, William Saliba and Ben White.
The midfield had Leandro Trossard, Jorginho and Fabio Viera. The forward line had Eddie Nketiah, Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka. The game started on a very high note and Gabriel Jesus opened the score line after just five minutes.
Leandro Trossard then added the second goal after receiving a good pass from Bukayo Saka who had also set up Gabriel Jesus for the first goal. The first half ended 2-0 in favor of the Gunners. Mikel Arteta then made some changes in his Arsenal squad for the second half.
He substituted Bukayo Saka and brought in Kai Havertz, Aaron Ramsdale for Karl Jacob Hein and Eddie Nketiah for Martin Odegaard. Arsenal got a penalty just after starting the second half and Jorginho was given the task to step up. He took that role well and scored the third goal for Arsenal.
Mikel Arteta further made some changes in his Arsenal squad and brought in Jurrien Timber in place of William Saliba, Kieran Tierney in place of Jakub Kiwior, Declan Rice in place of Jorginho, Folarin Balogun in place of Gabriel Jesus, Marquinhos in place of Fabio Viera, Takehiro Tomiyasu in place of Gabriel Magalhaes and Auston Trusty in place of Ben White.
Gabriel Martinelli added the fourth goal as Kai Havertz scored the fifth goal and his first goal in an Arsenal jersey. This will help him massively to build on his confidence ahead of the new challenge and the new season as a member of the Gunners team. The game ended 5-0 in favor of Arsenal.
