Written by Eric Omondi has finally explained the reason as to why he quit comedy. He said that right now he cannot consider himself as a comedian because there is nobody nothing which is funny in Kenya the way things are going on.
Eric Omondi said that Kenyans are going through a lot currently and there is nobody who wants to laugh because people are very depressed. According to him, comedy is now irrelevant because there is nothing to laugh about.
Eric Omondi said that he is even thinking that the comedy shows should be temporarily banned because Kenyans are like in a funeral because of the hard economic times, and comedians cannot make people who are in a funeral to laugh.
Eric Omondi has been helping needy Kenyans and he has been doing that through his initiative which is known as “Sisi Kwa Sisi.” Kenyans always come through for their fellow countrymen by contributing the little that they have to help the needy.
Eric Omondi through his network has helped very many people to pay rent, school fees, shopping and also to get money for starting different businesses. Kenyans have really been supportive and it shows how people can do great things when they come together.
There have also been some rumors that Eric Omondi is eyeing a political seat in the 2027 general elections.
