Spain will host France in the first semi-final game of the EURO 2024 Competition. This will be a very interesting game because the two teams earned their ways to the semi-finals. Spain knocked out the hosts who are Germany. France knocked out Portugal.
The game will be intense but France has a better chance of beating Spain and advancing to the Finals. Spain has been playing a very good game but France on the other hand has not been performing as per what is expected of them. In fact, France has not scored any goal in open play.
This however will not mean anything because what matters at the end of everything is a win for France. The team with the best game in EURO always do not end up winning.
You can take a look back in 2016 when Portugal finished third in their group stage and they displayed one of their worst performance but still managed to win the trophy back in 2016.
France has a very solid defense comprising of William Saliba of Arsenal and Dayot Upamecano. They have not been scored any goal in open play and this means a lot. The defense is always the heart of the team and Didier Deschamps has it.
France also has very good and lethal strikers but they have not risen to the occasion to start scoring goals. The likes of Kylian Mbappe are aware that there are only two matches remaining and the only way to win it is by scoring goals because they know very well that their backline is sorted out.
Spain will therefore find it very tough against France also bearing in mind that one of their dependable players, Dani Carvajal will miss the game after getting an indirect red card against Germany. This will somehow disorient their shape and how the team has been performing.
