The French international defender stated that, the club and the players have learnt a lot from what happened last season and went ahead to state what the Arsenal fans should expect next season.
William Saliba said that they have to win titles next season and there is no excuse for that at all. He added that, they have learnt a lot in the just concluded season and what they have come out with as a conclusion is that, they have to win titles and not just a title.
This was one of the seasons that Arsenal was hard hit with injuries in almost all the departments but more especially in the striking department, but still managed to pull up some good performance in both the Premier League and the Champions League.
Arsenal could have even won both the Premier League and the Champions League if the club had a very clinical finisher but that did not come to pass. The club managed to beat Real Madrid home and away without a striker and that is the approach that they could have used to also beat other clubs.
Mikel Arteta, the Sporting Director and the Board, have to sit down and make sure that they be active during the transfer window and bring on board players who will help Arsenal to move forward and not backwards.
The top priority should now be a clinical finisher who will help the club in scoring goals. Arsenal has very creative players like Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice who know how to drift good crosses in the opponent’s penalty box. The only thing lacking is a good striker who can be able to convert those chances into goals.
