Written by Liverpool hosted Manchester United at Anfield. This was a very tough game because the two clubs have been enjoying a very good time of late in the Premier League. The two Managers named very strong squads for the encounter and it was evident that they all needed the three points.
The first half started on a very high note and the Liverpool players showed that they wanted nothing but a win in that game. Andy Robertson gave Cody Gakpo a very good pass and he slotted in a very good goal. The first half ended 1-0 in favor of Liverpool.
The second half was on another level. The Liverpool players came back as a different team and they taught the Manchester United players a game that they have never seen. Harvey Elliot gave Darwin Nunez another brilliant pass and he scored the second goal.
Cody Gakpo got his second goal of the day after he slotted in the pass from Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian got the fourth goal. Jordan Henderson gave Darwin Nunez another pass and he scored a brilliant header.
Roberto Firmino also gave Mohamed Salah another pass and the Egyptian scored the sixth goal of the game. Mohamed Salah was again involved in another goal and he gave Roberto Firmino a brilliant pass that led to the seventh goal.
This was the biggest defeat for Manchester United and it really gave the club a bad picture. Liverpool’s journey to finish in the top four is now alive and kicking and the club is just 3 points away from the top four with a game in hand since Tottenham Hotpsurs has played one more game ahead. The game ended 7-0 in favor of Liverpool.
