Arsenal met Manchester United in another pre-season friendly game. Mikel Arteta’s starting 11 had Karl Hein as the goalkeeper, the defence had Ben White, Ayden Heaven, Jurrien Timber and Zinchenko.
The midfield had Martin Odegaard, Jorginho and Ethan Nwaneri. The forward had Reiss Nelson, Gabriel Jesus and Leandro Trossard.
Erik ten Hag’s first eleven had Andre Onana in the goalpost, the defenders were Harry Amass, Harry Maguire, Leny Yoro and Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The midfield had Casemiro and Amad Diallo while the forward line had Marcus Rashford, Toby Collyer, Mason Mount and Rasmus Hojlund.
The game started on a very high note and Manchester United scored the first goal through Rasmus Hojlund. Gabriel Jesus then equalized for Arsenal before the end of the first half. Manchester United made an early substitution and Rasmus Hojlund was taken off and he was replaced by Hannibal Mejbri and Leny Yoro was taken off and he was replaced by Rhys Bennett. The first half ended in a 1-1 draw.
The second half was full of action especially substitutions because the two Managers wanted to give their players the experience and the opportunity to play for some minutes. Arsenal’s substitutions involved Ethan Nwaneri who was substituted and his place was taken by Salah-Eddine Oulad M’Hand, Ayden Heaven with Jakub Kiwior.

Leandro Trossard with Fabio Vieira, Jorginho with Thomas Partey, Oleksandr Zinchenko with Myles Lewis-Skelly. Jurrien Timber with Gabriel Magalhaes, Ben White with Josh Nichols, Reiss Nelson with Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus with Eddie Nketiah and Martin Odegaard with Kai Havertz.
Manchester United’s substitutions involved Amad Diallo who was substituted and his place was taken by Antony, Harry Maguire with Jonny Evans, Casemiro with Maxi Oyedele, Aaron Wan Bissaka with James Scanlon, Mason Mount with Scott McTominay, Toby Collyer with Christian Eriksen and Marcus Rashford with Jadon Sancho.
Gabriel Martinelli scored the second goal for Arsenal and the Gunners beat Manchester United 2-1 after full time. The two teams then went on penalties and Manchester United emerged victorious with 4-3 on the penalties. The penalties were just part of their pre-season activity to also see how good the players are prepared for penalty shootouts too.
