Big Blow to Manchester United Concerning Leny Yoro’s Injury

Manchester United have received a huge blow concerning their new centre back, Leny Yoro who sustained an injury in pre-season while playing against Arsenal. Reports have indicated that, Leny Yoro as fractured his metatarsal.

This means that, Leny Yoro may be sidelined for like two months in order for him to recover. He was also seen on crutches and this raised even more eyebrows concerning his fitness. He was also wearing a protective boot, which is an indication that the injury that he got in pre-season was a very serious one.

Leny Yoro only lasted for 32 minutes in the game against Arsenal where he was paired with Harry Maguire. The game eventually ended 2-1 in favor of Arsenal but the two teams had also pre-arranged a post-match penalty shootout. Manchester United shone in the penalty shootout and the club defeated Arsenal 4-3.

Leny Yoro’s injury means that he will definitely miss the first early three games of the season. He is however tipped to return in September and that could be in the game against Southampton.

The shocking part is that, Leny Yoro’s career at Lille was a perfect one and he had only been injured once. The injury also lasted only for just three days. Manchester United signed him and he has already been injured in pre-season even before the kick off of the new season.

Leny Yoro was tipped to boost Manchester United’s defence that was very porous last season. His injury is now a very great set back to the club. There is however still time for the club to also add another defender who will act as his cover up.

He is too good and it is believed that, he will be integrated into the first team as soon as he returns to the team. He is expected to partner with Lisandro Martinez.
