Arsenal visited Fulham at the Craven Cottage stadium in another game of the English Premier League. Mikel Arteta’s side started the game on a very high note and Bukayo Saka put the club ahead just after five minutes of play.
This however did not last, the Fulham players were having a very good game as compared to the Gunners. Tom Cairney gave Raul Jiminez a good pass and he scored the equalizer. The first half ended 1-1.
The second half started on a very high note and Mikel noticed that Jakub Kiwior was not comfortable at the left back position. He substituted him immediately and replaced him with Takehiro Tomiyasu who was making a comeback into the team after being sidelined for a long time with injury.
The Fulham players showed their zeal and ambition to win the game. Bobby Decordova-Reid gave Fulham the lead in the fifty ninth minute and this changed the game totally. Arsenal players tried to get a comeback in the game but they did not manage.
Mikel Arteta was forced to make a couple of changes in his team especially in the forward line to get good results. He took off Gabriel Martinelli and replaced him with Leandro Trossard, Ben White with Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz with Reiss Nelson.
Marco Silva also made some changes in his team and the changes worked in his favour. He substituted Alex Iwobi and replaced him with Andreas Pereira, Willian with Issa Diop, Bobby Decordova-Reid with Harry Wilson and Tom Cairney with Harrison Reed.
The game ended in a 2-1 loss to Arsenal and the club is now in position four. This is a bad result because the club has lost a lot of points in its last few games. The Manager should actually do something in the January transfer window so that he can get the club back to winning ways.
