Nottingham Forest Welcomed Manchester United in another English Premier League game. The Red Devils went into the game with high spirits after the notable comeback 3-2 win against Aston Villa on Boxing Day.
The stage was however different at the City Ground. The first half was very tough and the two teams went into the break when the score line was still 0-0. There were however signs that goals were going to rain in the second half.
The second half started on a very high note and Gonzalo Montiel gave Nicolas Dominguez a good pass that resulted to the first goal of the game. Alejandro Garnacho then gave Marcus Rashford a good pass and he scored the equalizer for Manchester United.
Anthony Elanga who was sold by Manchester United set up a good pass for Morgan Gibbs White and he scored the goal that won the game for the home team. They held on to their lead even after the referee added 10 minutes to the end of the game.
Erik ten Hag made a total of only three changes. He substituted Kobbie Mainoo and replaced him with Scott McTominay, Antony with Amad Diallo and Aaron Wan-Bissaka with Sergio Reguilon.
Nuno Espiranto Santos made five changes. He substituted Gonzalo Montiel and replaced him with Neco Williams, Nicolas Dominguez with Callum Hudson Odoi, Anthony Elanga with Willy Boly, Danilo Oliveira with Oriel Mangala and Ola Aina with Harry Toffolo.
The game ended 2-1 in favor of Nottingham Forest and the Manchester United is now at the seventh position while Nottingham Forest is in position fifteen, five points clear of the relegation zone.
