Sultana, sensing that her mother is upset, inquires as to whom she was conversing. Bi. While Salama is wondering how Babu can speak to her so proudly, and whether she should come clean as the secret is soon to be disclosed, Sultana quietly sneaks up to her and asks her what truth.
Sada sees the mansion and becomes enraged that Major has been spending her money while she has been forced to live in abject poverty. Sada is unfazed by Fatima’s report that Major was on his way to deal with her; she knows that Major’s presence will be the beginning of them regretting their terrible activities.
Sada visits Ua in her room, demanding to know how long she has been acting nuts and why she saw Major and Fatima get married. Ua, however, is only concerned with seeing her daughter and telling her how much she loves her, so she instead begs Sada to update her on Sultana’s condition. She remembers JJ telling her about the pregnancy, but she couldn’t ask any questions at the time since she had to keep up the act. Sada tells her that Sultana had a miscarriage and that it was JJ’s.
Bi. Salama reprimands Sultana for sneaking up on her, and then she and her mother go inside, where Salama is told by Sultana that her secrets will create a lot of trouble, and where her mother warns her that she would hungry because they didn’t go grocery shopping.
Sada informs Ua that JJ isn’t her son, that he was never breastfed by her, and that she once tried to dump him into the ocean, despite the fact that Ua believes it was best that the pregnancy came out. Asiya’s cleaning interrupts their chat, so Ua acts insane by giggling wildly. Fatima, who, like Asiya, has a sneaking suspicion that Sada knew about the new house thanks to Asiya’s tip, asks how Sada found out about it; Asiya explains that there was no way for Sada to find out about the move without hearing it from Fatima first, and then she leaves Fatima to continue spying on Sada and Ua.
Dida tells her father that Maria was right and that they shouldn’t let Fatima get away with all that she’s done, but Buya refuses to let them go near Fatima because he could never live with the guilt if anything happened to them; Buya wishes she had supported him when he wanted to divide the estate.
When Fatima’s thugs call to tell her they’ve tracked down Dida’s hiding spot, she demands to know the specifics so she can arrange a time to meet them there within the hour.
Bi. When Salama and Sultana go shopping, they visit a busy street, but Sultana isn’t very like of it because of the crowds and noise. They decide to stop and get some pineapples, but Sultana sneaks across without her mother seeing, and when she turns around to give her the fruit, she panics because she can’t see her.
Fatima tries to sneak out of the house, but Asiya sees her and makes fun of her, so Fatima asks her to be quiet and Asiya threatens her. Sada hears the noise and yells for Asiya, but Fatima escapes.
Mwanzele resolves to go hunt for Zuu after Babu expresses concern that she has been missing for too long, but a young guy interrupts him to express his sympathies.
Sultana follows a young man, thinking it is JJ because of his cologne; the young man asks her to leave him alone, saying that anyone can wear some cologne; Sultana is left confused in the streets; some people try to help her, but she screams, getting scared, and drawing a lot of attention to herself. Assuming she is a thief, they want to bring her in for questioning.
Mwanzele weeps over the loss of his wife as Babu consoles him after the young man breaks the news that Zuu is no longer with them.
The crowd surrounds Sultana as she tries to explain that she was with her mother; fortunately, Bi is able to save her. Salama saves her from the mob of people.
Sada and Ua enter the house and ask Asiya what’s wrong; Asiya is perplexed to see Ua so composed, so Sada explains that they were the ones driving her crazy and sends Ua in search of Fatima so that she may explain the rules to them. Sada is upset that Asiya didn’t tell her that Fatima had already departed, especially because the two of them had been working together, and Ua is staring at Asiya.
When Bi. Salama and Sultana return home, the latter is scolded by her mother, who asks her daughter what she was thinking. Sultana explains that she mistook the scent of cologne for JJ, but her mother points out that the crowd could have attacked her, sent her to prison, or kidnapped her.
Once the officer gives food to JJ in his cell, the latter cries out to him, offering a reward in exchange for the officer’s assistance in retrieving JJ’s stolen cell phone. JJ finally wins him over, and he agrees to lend him the phone for an hour, for which he would be paid 2,000 Kenyan Shillings each and every time he is on call.
