Thika Road Flooded Between Kahawa Sukari and Kenyatta University

The heavy rains that were witnessed last night have left some mess on the roads. The latest road to be flooded is Thika road especially between Kahawa Sukari and Kenyatta University. Water flooded the underpass at Kahawa Sukari and the floods splashed all the way towards Kenyatta University.

This has made it tough for travelers to pass that place. Kenyans have requested the government to do something before the whole situation gets out of hand.

Many people also said that they now understand why the enumerators were asking people during the last National Census that they conducted if people owned boats. People have now seen the essence of the boats because they can really come in handy at this time.

Some people also said that Kazi Mtaani which was launched by the former President, honorable Uhuru Kenyatta was a very good initiative because the youths used to do a lot of good work and such situations were not being witnessed at all.

The people also said that the County Government of Nairobi has failed Nairobians because they have not fixed the drainages in the county and that is why people are facing the floods now due to the poor drainage city within the county.

The drainages have also been blocked by the careless littering of the County by different individuals. It is the small pieces of paper and litter that grow to become waste and later block all the drainage systems hence leading to the floods that are being witnessed because of the blockage of the drainage systems.
