Arsenal hosted Chelsea in another London Derby. Mikel Arteta named a very strong team and he really balanced the midfield and the results spoke for themselves. Mikel Arteta started Declan Rice, Thomas Partey and Martin Odegaard. This has been a dream midfield partnership that Arsenal fans have been anticipating to see.
The first half started on a very high note and Arsenal got the first goal of the night just after four minutes. Declan Rice gave Leandro Trossard a brilliant pass and the Belgian international player scored the opening goal.
Arsenal got very many chances in the first half but the players did not convert those chances. The first half ended 1-0 in favor of Arsenal.
The second half started on a very high note and the Arsenal players showed the Blues why they are aiming for the Premier League title this season. Ben White doubled the lead and a few minutes later, Martin Odegaard gave Kai Havertz a brilliant pass and the former Chelsea player scored the third goal.
Kai Havertz added the fourth goal after getting another good pass from Bukayo Saka. The goals continued to rain and Ben White added the fifth goal after getting a good pass from Martin Odegaard.
Mikel Arteta made some changes after confirming that he had already sealed the three points. He substituted Kai Havertz and replaced him with Gabriel Jesus, Leandro Trossard with Gabriel Martinelli, Thomas Partey with Jorginho, Takehiro Tomiyasu with Oleksandr Zinchenko and Bukayo Saka with Fabio Vieira.
Mauricio Pochettino also made some changes in his team. He substituted Mykhailo Mudryk and replaced him with Raheem Sterling, Enzo Fernandez with Trevoh Chalobah, Alfie Gilchrist with Thiago Silva and Noni Madueke with Cesare Casadei.
The game ended 5-0 in favor of Arsenal. This was Arsenal’s greatest win ever against Chelsea.
