What was Witnessed as Manchester United Thrashed Burnley 2-0 in the EFL Cup

Manchester United resumed their campaign after the World Cup with a match against Burnley in the EFL. Erik ten Hag named a very strong squad for that encounter because he wanted nothing but a win in that game.

The goalpost had Martin Dubravka while the defence had Aaron Wan Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Casemiro and Tyrell Malacia. The midfield had Scott McTominay and Christian Eriksen. The forward line was packed with Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes, Alejandro Gernacho and Anthony Martial.

The first half started on a very high note and the Red Devils showed that they wanted nothing but a win in that game. Aaron Wan Bissaka gave Christian Eriksen a good pass and the Denmark play maker slotted in a very brillint goal to take his team ahead.

The first half ended 1-0 in favor of Manchester United and this gave the team a platform to build the second half from. The strategy that was used in the first half is the one that Erik ten Hag used and it yielded good fruits.

Scott McTominay teamed up well with Marcus Rashford and the English international player added the second goal for his team. The English international player proved to the Manager that the good form that he was having at the World Cup is still there and he is ready for the Premier League which will resume next week.

The game ended 2-0 in favor of Manchester United and the club has now progressed to the next level of the EFL Cup competition.
